Clinton used to like to get out of the White House a lot. He would take night trips to McDonald's, and stuff like that. I think he wanted to get out of the house. Biography is one of the new terrors of death. There are few things as toxic as a bad metaphor. You can't think without metaphors. A hero holds purposes appropriate to man and is, therefore, a thinker. We all live on the same planet, it is our only home, so... we used to rotate crops back in the day and, you know, who cares if you're going to make a profit if everybody's too dead or glowing in the dark to be able to purchase anything. Never the time and the place and the loved one all together! The law increasing and organizing the military establishment of the United States has been nearly carried into effect, and the Army has been extensively and usefully employed during the past season. It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards. If you want creative workers, give them enough time to play. There are truths which one can only say after having won the right to say them. The citizen is becoming a pawn in a game where nobody knows the rules, where everybody consequently doubts that there are rules at all, and where the vocabulary has been diminished to such an extent that nobody is even sure what the game is all about. All theory, dear friend, is gray, but the golden tree of life springs ever green. Part of Steve's job was to drum into us how important what we were doing actually would be to the world. It is by its promise of a sense of power that evil often attracts the weak. In this country, don't forget, a habit is no damn private hell. There's no solitary confinement outside of jail. A habit is hell for those you love. And in this country it's the worst kind of hell for those who love you. Be fond of the man who jests at his scars, if you like; but never believe he is being on the level with you. We fight a lot, you know, but that's family. We may be dysfunctional but we're still family. If we don't act, drilling will be allowed only 3 miles off Florida's east coast beaches. All progress is precarious, and the solution of one problem brings us face to face with another problem. When I am rehearsing for a play, I try to read nothing that might distract my concentration from the work in progress. Most high courts in other nations do not have discretion, such as we enjoy, in selecting the cases that the high court reviews. Our court is virtually alone in the amount of discretion it has. I don't know; it just seemed like the cooler guys are playing Xbox. At least the ones I know. When the START 2 treaty has been implemented - and remember it has not yet been ratified - we will be left with some 15,000 nuclear warheads, active and in reserve. Fifteen thousand weapons with an average yield of 20 Hiroshima bombs. No mortal man has ever served at the same time his passions and his best interests. We kinda like to pick you up and throw you on the ground. That's our thing. Love him or hate him, Trump is a man who is certain about what he wants and sets out to get it, no holds barred. Women find his power almost as much of a turn-on as his money. When Talking Heads started, we called ourselves Thinking Man's Dance Music. Baseball gives every American boy a chance to excel, not just to be as good as someone else but to be better than someone else. This is the nature of man and the name of the game.

Zeal without knowledge is fire without light.
- Thomas Fuller

I never take ideas from the headlines. I feel that if a story is good enough, a real story that is, then it's already been covered by the media, and if it's not good enough, why would I want to bother with it?
