It's a remake of a film called Inferno Affairs. It's a Hong Kong film, and if we come anywhere close to what they did in the original, we're going to have a hot property on our hands, because Inferno Affairs is a great piece. There is as much difference between the counsel that a friend giveth, and that a man giveth himself, as there is between the counsel of a friend and of a flatterer. For there is no such flatterer as is a man's self. An egalitarian educational system is necessarily opposed to meritocracy and reward for achievement. It is inevitably opposed to procedures that might reveal differing levels of achievement. People believe that photographs are true and therefore cannot be art. What you do with it and things like that, but I basically chose this after I read it because I thought it was different and funny and unique and dark - things that I like to do. Whatever I do, I attempt to do it fully. I try, and don't always succeed, to be thorough. There are musicians who do not know their worth, and if they knew it at one time, it has eluded them. I know my worth. You try not to dwell in the past. I like to do things that I develop from the ground up. You're a Catholic in Italy when you're born, it's unthinkable to stop being Catholic. You just take the rules a lot more seriously, because it pervades your culture. Even in the common affairs of life, in love, friendship, and marriage, how little security have we when we trust our happiness in the hands of others! Preserve the mean; the opportune moment is best in all things. Not a single man on earth knows from his own experience the how and where of his birth, only from tradition, which is often very uncertain. There's nothing worse than talking about yourself to find out that you're not that interesting. I have been able to get a small audience. It's not the huge audience, but it's enough to make it possible to play. I appreciate that. The good thing about Broadway is that you don't have to worry about an airdate. It gets done when it gets done. It is important to express oneself... provided the feelings are real and are taken from your own experience. Well actually, some weeks they'll write that I'm jealous of living in her shadow. Then other weeks, they'll write that all I want to do is loaf around on her money! It's ridiculous! Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who posses it; and this I know, my lords: that where law ends, tyranny begins. To achieve, you need thought. You have to know what you are doing and that's real power. I think it's the tragedy of our time that we're not aware of the affect of the manner in which we've adopted tools. Those tools have become who we are. A little simplification would be the first step toward rational living, I think. Once you get over the first hill, there is always a new, higher one lurking, of course. Wisdom begins in wonder. Justice is sweet and musical; but injustice is harsh and discordant. Original Monkees' songs were produced very thinly, on purpose. Most stuff you can do standing on your head. There is no problem with the opening of new houses of prayer for Lutherans and Pentecostals.
