I have been coaching recently. I coached high school basketball in Arizona, and I hope that more opportunities become available. Standardization of our educational systems is apt to stamp out individualism and defeat the very ends of education by leveling the product down rather than up. There is no doubt that now, more than ever, we must work to end our dependence on foreign oil sources. But we cannot do so by ignoring the wishes of the coastal communities that oppose drilling.
