ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ I'm in an agreeable state: busy, enthusiastic, curious. If there is a State, then there is domination, and in turn, there is slavery. I know my husband really loves me because he takes me to have ribs. He says I'm the only girl he ever took out who actually ate anything on her plate, as opposed to pushing it around. America's best buy is a telephone call to the right man. I think that I could have been take apart if the bear market continued, but I waited three years before I felt the bear market was over and I was right. It's a younger generation running the show, and I miss the generation we had in the '70s. They were really very honorable guys, like Neal Bogart and Bill Graham, people who will never be around again. Don't call me a saint. I don't want to be dismissed so easily. I've actually considered going with my married name, Julia Hall, but all the paperwork. The chief function of the body is to carry the brain around. I can think of nothing more boring for the American people than to have to sit in their living rooms for a whole half hour looking at my face on their television screens. It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will speak. Music is there to access those dark emotional corners that we don't normally get too close to. I waited and worked, and watched the inferior exalted for nearly thirty years; and when recognition came at last, it was too late to alter events, or to make a difference in living. I'm glad I brought this course, this monster, to its knees. Friendship, like love, is destroyed by long absence, though it may be increased by short intermissions. Very few of my books are about who stole the Maltese Falcon. Happiness will come from materialism, not from meaning. As an integral part of the Department of Agriculture, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service monitors our Nation's agriculture to protect against agricultural pests and diseases. Working gets in the way of living. Nostalgia is not what it used to be. I want to be an artist that everyone can relate to, that's young, happy and fun. Chris Cooper is one of my favorite actors in the world. I've seen him in most everything he's done. I never go straight to the point if I can go the most difficult way. Why be simple when you can be complicated? Writing, basically breaks down to relationships between people and that is what you write about. A cat is never vulgar. It takes as much discipline to be a mother and a wife as it does to do anything else. What I was proud of was that I used very few parts to build a computer that could actually speak words on a screen and type words on a keyboard and run a programming language that could play games. And I did all this myself. I think it's too easy often to find a villain out of the headlines and to then repeat that villainy again and again and again. You know, traditionally, America has always looked to scapegoat someone as the boogie man. |
Rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud.
- Sophocles
Emily RossumI know that I am my worst critic. I know that if I can walk away from the set at the end of the day and feel that I did the best job I could and feel proud, that's what will satisfy me. I started singing at the Met when I was seven, and the competition was so fierce that it really prepared me. I started working when I was seven and I was working for five dollars a night at the Met. I try to keep myself as sane and as grounded as possible by surrounding myself with normal people, such as all the friends that I've had from when I was little. I've been in the studio experimenting on making a CD of my own. I'm trying out different producers, styles, sounds. With music, as opposed to acting, you are not playing a character. You are showing people who you are. I really want to have my spirit in it. I've learned to take jobs as an actress that is meaningful to me because I've never taken a job for the money. |
