Well, I've had to deal with everything in my life... leavin' the family, learnin' what not and what to do. Judaism lives not in an abstract creed, but in its institutions. I'm not anybody's judge; I don't know what motivates people to do what they do. But I have a lot of admiration for anybody who can start with absolutely nothing and make a little something out of it. Silence is only frightening to people who are compulsively verbalizing. There is no scientific discoverer, no poet, no painter, no musician, who will not tell you that he found ready made his discovery or poem or picture - that it came to him from outside, and that he did not consciously create it from within. A year ago I had a back injury and followed a good nutrition program to help speed up my recovery. I focused on exercise and staying healthy in order to get back out on the ice. Who would not give up wit for power and beauty? Never ever doubt in magic. The purest honest thoughts come from children, ask any child if they believe in magic and they will tell you the truth. Growing up, I never gave a thought to being a writer. All I ever wanted to be was a traveler and explorer. There's an awareness of fashion in this country, and it's not limited to gay people. I say let's respond as best we can to the victims and their families. For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a professional hockey player. Esso has been the main one in America spreading the disinformation that there is no global warming problem. The fundamentalists are increasing. People, afraid to oppose those fundamentalists, shut their mouths. It is really very difficult to make people move against a sensitive issue like religion, which is the source of fundamentalism. So there was a fire inside me. And that fire inside you, it can be turned into a negative form or a positive form. And I gradually realised that I had this fire and that it had to be used in a positive way. I give with reason. Every blessed one of you feels better for that burst of laughter. To vice, innocence must always seem only a superior kind of chicanery. Doing that hunt scene was really quite demanding. I actually broke a rib during that scene. And then all the scenes after that became quite challenging, just breathing and laughing. The real conflict, if any exists, is between two industrial systems. I enjoy the freedom of the blank page. The critic has to educate the public; the artist has to educate the critic.
